Xeroshield is a company dedicated to the development of products and services incorporating innovative methods of insect pest control. Our ethos is to look for novel solutions to pest problems from a wide range of sources to develop alternatives to the use of conventional chemical insecticides.
Our business model is to draw on our experience of working on insect control in a wide variety of situations, formulate new ideas and seek partnerships with workers from different fields (often people who have never applied their expertise to entomology). We believe that collaborations of this type will allow us to develop radically new approaches to the control of vectors of human and animal disease as well as agricultural, stored product and other insect pests. We then seek public or private-sector funding to carry out proof of concept studies, generate IP and seek licensing deals for the finished product. We currently have a number of links with academic institutions and other companies worldwide.
